Children of the revolution
Israel's genocide in Gaza has overwhelmingly and disproportionately affected women and children. Indiscriminate and brutal airstrikes, carpet bombing, forced starvation, displacement and collective punishment have claimed the innocent lives of over 40,000 Palestinians, of which 15,000 are children. Fetuses' inside of their mother's bellies, babies in their parents arms and children sleeping in their beds -this is ethnic cleansing.
Children of the Revolution, photographed over 6 months, documents a culture of resistance and the rise of political consciousness that has empowered the next generation child activism. Documenting the Free Palestine and School Strikes for Palestine Movements in Melbourne, Australia, Children of the Revolution seeks to give voices and faces to the children who will become the beneficiaries of the future of political instability. What will their world look like? They are fighting for a future that is uncertain. Livid, raging, kicking screaming; they seek to disrupt and dismantle. See their faces.
